Monday Weigh In
Well, I am happy to report that I have lost 2.2 pounds!!! I did get a little help by having the flu this weekend, but I will take it! I was very good with my exercise and did pretty well with food, too. This coming weekend, we are taking a trip to St. Louis, where I am planning on eating at some places we don't have around where we live. Here we come Elephant Bar and PF Chang's! So, my goal for my next weigh in is to just maintain my weight, but I wouldn't be surprised if I went up a bit.

Monday Weigh In
So....Week 1 didn't go as well as I would have liked, but I did loose 0.6 pounds. I got all my exercise in, but there were probably 3 days that my eating wasn't the best. Especially yesterday, where I ate way too many desserts!
This week should be easier and I am determined to report back next Monday with a 1 pound weight loss! Stay tuned...

I am on a mission...
I am on a mission to lose the baby weight I gained from my now 4 year old! I figure if I don't do it now, it won't happen after we bring our next daughter home. Who knows what life will be like then! I don't have a ton to lose, but I have been trying to lose it on and off for 3 years. I would love to lose 10 pounds and if I could lose 15 I would be ecsatic. So, feel free to ask me from time to time how it is going, I need the accountability! And, if anyone has any tips on good food that will fill me up and tastes great, I am all ears!

Blog Party!
Christian Women Online is celebrating their 2nd anniversary by hosting a party in conjunction with the Ultimate Blog Party that is being taking place at 5 Minutes for Mom. CWO is kicking off their celebration by playing a game of tag, where participants will have the opportunity to win a Sony Walkman Video MP3 Player courtesy of one of their sponsors Art Bookbindery.
Be sure to stop by to wish CWO a happy anniversary and get yourself entered in their contest drawing before March 15th.
There are so many cool prizes to be won at this year’s Ultimate Blog Party, but my top three picks would be:
Bead Dangle Photo Tile Necklace (#7) with heart charm from Lisa at Elemental Memories
$50 gift certificate to Kids Magical Wonder (#15) Provided by: Kids Magical Wonder
Blog Design (#24) Provided by: Sweet ‘n Simple Design
And if my top three picks are already chosen, I’d love any of the following (in order of preference): 28, 34, 45, 58, 56, 63, 67 or anything else related to adoption, infant girls, or Pre-K girls I have a 4 year old and plan on adopting an infant girl. My hobby is scrapbooking.
Encouragement
I found a new online magazine that I am really enjoying exploring. It is called Christian Women Online. Check it out! http://www.christianwomenonline.net/. Here are some scriptures from an article titled "5 Ways to be Content". This is something I need a lot of help with usually.
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” ~ Proverbs 23:7
"for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." ~ Philippians 4:11b, KJV
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. ~ 1 Peter 5:7
‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ ~ Jeremiah 29:11, NIV
Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. ~ Psalm 37:4
These are fitting for anyone, but they really spoke to me as I am going through the adoption process. By waiting longer, the Lord is not trying to hurt me, He is finding just the right child for our family.
Thank you to those who have been praying for my friend, Leslie. Her surgery was over as of 12:30 AM this morning. It sounds like things went well, but they did have to remove her entire forehead. Continue to pray for quick healing and comfort for Leslie. If you would like to stay updated on her condition, check out her blog, http://www.forleslie.blogspot.com/.

Pray without ceasing!!!!
Below is a link to a blog from a friend and roomate of mine from college, Leslie. I haven't talked to her in years, but have been following and praying for her and her family as they go through a difficult journey. A tumor that was found behind her eye. It is a long story, but what it boils down to is that Monday is a huge surgery for her and she needs as many prayers as possible. The doctors will possibly have to remove her entire forehead. Pray for wisdom and insight. Pray that God gives Tyson and Leslie peace and calms their fears as they await news of the upcoming surgery. Pray for the doctors as they consult and plan to come up with an idea that will again make Leslie whole and healthy, with minimal "intrusion".
Tyson and Leslie have been through so much, but have shown amazing strength through the whole process. Please pray!
