Getting closer to done...

I think I will be able to get my dossier done so I can go to the capital on Thursday and get everything apostilled! It all seems to be working out. Cross your fingers and send up a few extra prayers. Today we had Ryan's medical appointment. I had to go to make sure everything got filled out properly, being the nervous Nelly I am. Well, we found out we basically have to have the Hepatitis vaccine so that the doctor will mark us negative for it. I knew something would come up at the doctor! We could have gotten the shot in the doctor's office, but it would be a lot more expensive than the health department. So, it is 3:30 PM and I call the health department and it turns out they give these shots on Tuesdays from 1-4 PM, but on the last Tuesday of the month they do it from 1-6 PM. Guess what? It is the last Tuesday of the month! I think the Lord is watching out for us. It was still $50 a shot and we each have to go back 2 more times, so I would hate to see how much it would have been at the doctor's office!

Our homestudy is also done and approved by our placing agency! So, tomorrow I go for my medical appointment and then Ryan and I will go and get the rest of our papers notarized and pick up our homestudy.

I saw Kiara get off the bus for the last time for this school year. The next 2 days a friend and my mom will be here because I will be doing adoption stuff. I don't know why, but I was kind of sad. And, not because I won't have my 3 hours by myself every morning, which I will also miss. She is just so cute getting on and off the bus and she loves school. She will get to ride the bus again next year, so I that will be good for her. I want to make a list of what I want to do this summer. It always goes by so fast and then you realize you didn't do the things you wanted to do. So, any good ideas of things to do this summer?

What great news. It just feels so good when everything works out just the way it should!!! YEA!! I have a good idea you could put me on your summer to do list and come spend the weekend with me! You could bring Kiara and Ryan too :)

Sometimes if you break up the places you go...like the zoo, children's museum, library and call it a "field trip" then you can build it up and do like one a week. That makes it feel special and you have something to look forward to each week. You can take pictures and make like a summer '08 memory book too!

That's Awesome Nik! It's funny how this time around everything seems to be going your way...close calls sometimes...but who cares! To me, the close calls are just God's simple way of remindg you that He is in control. I can't wait until it's all done and in!

Miss you!
Your sis

Wow Nichole! You & Amanda have gotten your 2nd dossiers done in absolute record time!!!

Be sure to check the date on the AAC agency license. We were told that their license expires on June 1st and the renewal is in process, so that's the last part holding up our dossier for the past month.

We're hoping to get it next week...just in time to join the long list of "waiters" in the UZ lineup!

Huge Congrats! So exciting. And let me tell ya...for some reason, Ava's last day of Kinder. is harder than the first. AUGH! Makes me cry just thinkin' about it! So dumb. But seriously...1st grade? Stop.

Hey! Our SW told us DCFS has been taking about 3-4 weeks to approve it, but I checked back and it only took 1 1/2 weeks for us. I'm thinking she was giving us the longest it would be. I'll pray for a speedy approval!

Amanda, that sounds like a lot of fun! We need to organize a AAC gathering once all our children are home.

Rachel, I love your idea. I am going to try and have at least one fun thing we do each week.

Abby, I think you hit the nail on the head. I think it is that Kiara just seems so much older than when she started the school year! I am glad Kiara will be in Pre-K again next year and not Kindergarden! 1st grade just seems so old.
